So what happened to the site and the scene in 2005, here's a quick overview of the important events, 2006 will be more detailed as we will update it month by month

Well, the site underwent a few changes in 2005 including:

• The addition of 3 new language options including French, Spanish and German.
• The addition of a new online toy shop.
• The addition of 'My Visitors' to show who's viewed your profile.
• A complete redesign of the site.
• An improved version of the most visited profiles now shows you the most visited in your area rather than from all over the UK.

On top of that, we can boast the busiest genuine swingers chatroom on the internet, quite often with over 150 people online at anyone time, we know it's the busiest as we've checked everyone else's, even the sites that claim to have busy chatrooms have only had a handful of people online when we've checked!

Other interesting events and news:

• Due to a low attendance, erotica announced that it would no longer hold an event in Manchester. The interesting thing is that the people that attended said it was one of the best they'd been to, and all the dealers we have spoken to said they had a very good event.
• The News of the World decided against taking advantage of Liberations open press policy that involves giving interviews and showing them around the premises and went undercover to 'expose' the seedy goings on at the venue. Neil (the owner) subsequently complained to the press complaints commission where the paper claimed 'there was a public interest in making unsuspecting individuals aware of the kind of activity that went on from time to time in an apparently normal hotel'.
• A Fever party was also subjected to an undercover pair of reporters infiltrating it and reporting in a national newspaper.
• Chameleons in Birmingham underwent some changes including the inclusion of new rooms and changing facilities, a club well worth a visit.
• A nudist beach in Dorset has now placed signs to warn locals of dogging activity.
• Steve McFadden (Phil in Eastenders) was reportedly caught dogging.
• Dirty David started running fantastic parties in his large house in Spain, these are well recommended to anyone who fancies a fun weekend away, and with return flights from about £50, their cheap as well.

2005 also saw a huge explosion of swinging led articles in the newspapers and on TV which has obviously led to an increase in awareness of the scene.

Whilst this can be a good thing there has, unfortunately, been as many negative reports as there has been positive, certain papers seem to think that infiltrating parties and swingers clubs is a valid way to fill their pages with biased rubbish regarding the scene and try to paint a very seedy and dirty picture of the scene in general.

Due to all the added attention there has also been a huge increase in the number of sites appearing on the net to cater for the scene, unfortunately, many of them have simple appeared to take advantage of the people within the scene and fleece as much money from them as possible.

There have been many sites that have simply appeared and disappeared as quickly, often after taking a lot of money from their members for memberships. There has also been an increase in the number of sites promising to put you in contact with 'genuine' members as well as a large number claiming to be 'genuine' sites run by 'genuine' couples, we've even come across sites claiming to be run from the UK that are run from abroad. Again many of these sites are simply run as part of a large organisation and simply as a money making exercise and have no active participation in the scene at all. We can only assume that they have seen the huge growth in this site, realised that people are sick of making contact with time wasters and decided to try and capitalise and make some money off the term 'genuine swingers'.
